Over for 2008

July 2nd, 2008

This year our academy was held at Center Street Middle School.  Thanks to the staff there who welcomed us and shared their facility.  The academy ended with a program on June 30, highlighted by students who presented what they learned from the presenters and field trips.

We read three books and shared them via this blog.  The comments are closed for now.  Look for us next year when we explore the history and accomplishments of the city of Birmingham.

What does this quote mean to you?

Disability or ability?

For further research to share with your class:

*How did that person come about being disabled?

*What kind of education did they receive?

*Define Braille and sign language.
